KOZHIKODE: Muslim League leader Dr M K Muneer spoke against the introduction of gender equality uniforms in schools. Muneer alleged that the government is trying to deny religion in the name of gender equality. Why are girls made to wear pants and shirt?, asked Muneer. He also asked whether the clothes worn by girls are suitable to boys. He was speaking at a debate program held in Kozhikode as part of the MSF campaign.

Muneer said that not gender equality but social justice is needed. He also asked if the Chief Minister, who is advocating for gender equality uniforms, will wear a saree.
