Independence Day greetings from space

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The nation has received Independence Day greetings from Space Station for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsavam. The message came from Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti who is on the International Space Station.

Samantha said that she has been collaborating with ISRO in various space missions and is happy to wish India on its 75th Independence Day celebrations. Collaboration will also continue with the upcoming Nisar Earth Science Mission. This joint mission will help in the study of climate change and prediction of natural disasters.

She also praised India's Gaganyaan mission in the video message. "Wishing India all the best for space mission including NASA, European Space Agency", Samantha said in her message.
