THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An accused in the murder of his wife has been found dead in the well situated near his house. The deceased, Selvaraj (46) of Reshma Bhavan in Katayikonam, Mangotukonam, was the main accused in the murder of his wife Prabha (Sheeba-37) last year. Prabha was murdered in broad daylight by Selvaraj on August 31, 2021, at Shasthavattom Junction.

Selvaraj’s body was found in the well after a search was conducted by the neighbours following Selvaraj’s mother said that her son was missing. He was already dead by the time fire force reached the area from Kazhakootam. It is believed that Selvaraj jumped in to the well last evening.

Selvaraja and his wife Prabha were married for ten years and they were living separately due to family issues. Last year, when Prabha refused Selvaraj’s request to return home, he got infuriated and murdered her. Prabha was Selvaraj’s second wife and Prabha was married twice before living with Selvaraj. The couple is survived by two children.

The body of Selvaraj has been moved to the Medical College mortuary.
