KOTTAYAM: Two more who were on the run in the Drishyam model murder in Changanassery have been arrested. Bipin and Binoy, natives of Manganam were those held. The two were nabbed from Coimbatore.
The two arrested are second and third accused in the murder of Bindu Mon of Aryad in Alappuzha, whose body was buried in a house in Changanassery. The main accused in the case Muthu Kumar, arrested earlier, had conspired with them in the murder. The police took the two to the spot and collected evidence. The police have decided to question the three together.
The murder committed on September 26 came to light in the beginning of this month. Bindu Mon’s mother had lodged a missing complaint at the Alappuzha North Police. Bindu Mon, a bachelor, was a BJP activist. Bindu Mon was murdered after summoning him to Muthu Kumar’s house. The body was buried in the extension area of a rented house in Poovam. Muthu Kumar told police that previous enmity led to the murder.
Muthu Kumar suspected his wife’s intimacy towards Bindu Mon. His remand report said that this led to the murder. The police had received information that Bipin and Binoy, co-accused in the murder, had fled to Coimbatore.
