KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday reacted strongly to KPCC President K Sudhakaran's comment that Nehru was ready to make peace with communal fascism by making an RSS leader a minister. The Chief Minister said that the KPCC president, who justified his communal mind and love for RSS, by leaning on Nehru is a symbol of decadence.

'What glory does Sudhakaran see in whitewashing the RSS on Children's Day when the nation remembers Jawaharlal Nehru? Jawaharlal Nehru is a leader who had a complete secular mindset.' Chief Minister wrote on Facebook.

'In his post-independence letter to the Chief Ministers on December 7, 1947, Nehru said that the RSS was a private army-like organization and indeed continued to have a strict Nazi character. In another letter, Nehru had also warned the states not to fall for the claim that the RSS was not a political organization,' the CM wrote.

'Surprisingly, K Sudhakaran forgot the fact that Nehru was the Prime Minister at the time when Syama Prasad Mukherjee was arrested when he entered Kashmir against Article 370. The Chief Minister opined that Sudhakaran has distorted and insulted history by comparing Syama Prasad Mukherjee with Dr. Ambedkar,' Pinarayi added.
