One dies as septic tank under construction caves in

NEDUMKANDAM: An owner of a house died after the septic tank under construction caved in. Two sustained injuries. The dead has been identified as Mathukutty of Ramakkalmedu Thovalapady. Mathukutty and other two labourers were standing in the pit of two feet. The septic tank was dug for the house of his son. Earth caved in on the pit made for the tank. The mud on the top and a big stone collapsed and fell on top of them.

Though they were immediately taken to the Nedumkandam Taluk Hospital, the life of Mathukkutty could not be saved. Both the injured persons are admitted to a private hospital in Thookkupalam.
