TTE arrested for sexually abusing German woman on train

JAIPUR: A travelling ticket examiner (TTE) sexually abused a woman while travelling in a train. A 25-year-old German woman lodged a sexual abuse complaint on railway’s online portal on December 16. The incident happened while she travelling from Jaipur to Ajmer on December 13.

The complaint said the TTE abused her while she was travelling in the general compartment on the pretext of upgrading her seat to the AC coach. The railways have handed over her complaint to Jaipur GRP. The TTE identified as Vishal Singh Shekhawat has been suspended. He is being interrogated, informed the police. The woman had recorded her statement before the magistrate.
