Ration distribution of December extended till January 5

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister GR Anil said that the ration distribution of the month of December has been extended till January 5. The ration distribution was halted in many places due to slow operation of e-POS machines. Till last night 77.36% of card holders bought ration. The date was extended to provide ration to the rest.

Time regulation is also there this month. In Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Kottayam, Kasaragod and Idukki districts, ration shops will be open from January 2 to 7 and from January 16 to 21, from 8 am to 1 am. For the rest of the days the timing is from 2 pm to 7 pm.

In Malappuram, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Wayanad districts from January 9 to 14, 23 to 28, 30 and 31, the ration shops will be open from 8 am to 1 pm and other days from 2 pm to 7 pm.
