His answer gives hope to Rohit and his fans. Gambhir replied that there is no obstacle for both of them to remain in the team till the 2027 World Cup if they can keep their fitness.

“I think they have shown what they can deliver on the big stage, whether it’s the T20 or ODI World Cup. One thing I can be very clear of is that both have a lot of cricket left in them. With the Champions Trophy and a big tour of Australia, they will be motivated enough. And then, hopefully, if they can keep their fitness, the 2027 World Cup as well.”- Gambhir said.
