‘Entha mone Dinesha’: Chris Gayle recreates Mohanlal’s iconic dialogue and gesture

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: West Indies cricket legend and Kochi Blue Tigers co-owner Chris Gayle delighted fans in Kerala by recreating an iconic dialogue and gesture of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Gayle surprised the crowd while attending a Kerala Cricket League (KCL) match at the Greenfield Stadium in Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

At the suggestion of former India cricketer S. Sreesanth, Gayle performed Mohanlal’s signature gesture and delivered the popular dialogue from Mohanlal's film 'Narasimham'. Turning towards the gallery, Gayle said, “Entha mone Dinesha…”, drawing loud cheers, laughter and applause from the crowd.

This is not the first time Gayle has delivered a Mohanlal dialogue. He had earlier said the actor’s famous “Nee po mone Dinesha” line at a promotional event in Dubai in 2015. The video went viral on social media at the time. However, seeing the cricket legend deliver the dialogue in person in Kerala made the moment particularly special for Malayali fans.

Gayle arrived at Thiruvananthapuram airport at around 8.30 am on Saturday. Members of the Kochi Blue Tigers management, including team owner Subash Munuval, were present to receive him.

He later attended a press conference at Hotel Grand Hyatt at 11 am before heading to the Greenfield Stadium in Kariavattom. The Kochi Blue Tigers faced the Thrissur team in a KCL match at 2.30 pm.
