COLOMBO: Mohammed Siraj smashed three consecutive sixes in the final over as India beat Sri Lanka Cricket XI by six wickets in the three-day warm-up match. With 16 runs needed from the last over, Siraj finished the chase in spectacular fashion as India reached 214 for four in 45 overs while chasing 207. Siraj remained unbeaten on 32 off just 15 balls and was the star of India's thrilling finish.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 61 off 46 balls, while Shubman Gill made 44. The duo gave India a strong start with a 105-run opening partnership. Rishabh Pant scored 28, while Dhruv Jurel made 17. Jaiswal retired out after completing his half-century to give the other batters an opportunity. Gill's return was another positive for India after he missed the first two days of the match due to injury.

Earlier, Sri Lanka Cricket XI declared their second innings at 200 for six, setting India a target of 207. Ravindra Jadeja and Gurnoor Brar took two wickets each for India.

India had earlier declared their first innings at 357 for six. Devdutt Padikkal remained unbeaten on 142, while Jadeja scored 63. The practice match gave India valuable match practice ahead of their two-Test series against Sri Lanka, which begins in Galle on August 15.
