LONDON: A Malayali youngster turned saviour for a baby girl who nearly fell from a building. Jazeel, a native of Changaramkulam, Malappuram, worked with the police to save the baby. The footage of the incident is being circulated on social media.
The incident took place on the busy Ilford High Road in East London the other day. Jazeel was getting ready for work in the morning. Hearing the screams, he came out without even putting on his shirt. Jazeel immediately approached the toddler dangling from the second floor of the building. Jazeel climbed to the top of the first floor along with a police officer who came to save the child. The child, who lost balance, fell straight into Jazeel's arms. Fortunately, Jazeel held the child without causing any injuries. The incident went viral on social media, with many showering the Malayali with praise.
"There was only enough space for one person to stand. The child was about three years old. The child came out through an open window,” said Jazeel. After handing the toddler to the family, Jazeel quietly left the place.
