Actress Mouni Roy responded to all the rumours related to her personal life, including the speculations circulating on social media since announcing her separation from Suraj Nambiar.
Mouni Roy:
“First of all, I am not gay. I am very lucky to have friends and family around me who have always been there for me like a rock. I have always had good female friends to support me. They have been there for me in my good times and bad. It is very important to have such women in your life who inspire you. My girlfriends are the best in the world. My life is like a roller coaster ride. There have been struggles, good days and bad days.
Sometimes you can be very happy. Sometimes it is very sad. It is all part of life. False stories having no connection with reality were doing the rounds on social media. There have been attempts to sensationalise our private lives. After discussing personal preferences, we have chosen to go our separate ways with respect and mutual understanding. We will try to maintain our friendship in the coming times. There is no third party involved in this. There is no alimony here, no arguments.”
Mouni often speaks publicly about the importance of female friendships. Her friendship with actress Disha Patani had often opened doors to gossip. The two often share pictures of each other on their Instagram profiles. On Saturday, Mouni wished Disha Patani a happy birthday through social media.
