‘Hanuman Ansh’ success: ‘Producers who refused to invest apologised,’ reveals producer

MUMBAI: Hanuman Ansh, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and starring Shobhinaw Satyaa in the lead role, has emerged as a major box office success. The film hit theatres on August 7. Now, one of its producers, Anupriya Nagar, has opened up for the first time about the major challenges faced during its production.

According to Anupriya, several people in Bollywood initially refused to support the film. Many were unwilling to invest even a small amount for its post-production work. She said the industry lacked confidence in the film as it was a low-budget project featuring a debutant director and newcomers in the cast.

Most people believed that the film would fail to attract attention after its theatrical release. However, the response changed after Hanuman Ansh performed strongly at the box office. Anupriya said several producers who had initially refused to invest later contacted her, which made her happy.

Some producers even apologised to her directly. They reportedly said they regretted not joining the project and admitted that it had been a big mistake.

Hanuman Ansh is inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba. The film explores themes of faith, devotion, compassion and selfless service. According to the latest reports, the film was made on a budget of less than Rs 2 crore and has collected Rs 331.70 crore in India alone.
