Recited Shahada, attended prayers; Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito embraces Islam while filming in Saudi Arabia

Giancarlo Esposito, the American actor who sublimely portrayed the antagonist Gus Fring in the celebrated web series Breaking Bad, has embraced Islam. Esposito decided to embrace the religion during his stay in Saudi Arabia.

According to news reports from Saudi Arabia, Esposito, who was filming in the Kingdom, recited the Shahada and joined other crew members for prayers at the mosque. Visuals also surfaced showing the actor praying inside the mosque along with other crew members.

It is reported that Esposito made up his mind to embrace Islam after being impressed with the functioning of the Kingdom and his interactions with people in the country. Giancarlo Esposito is in Saudi Arabia for the filming of Seven Dogs as part of the Kingdom's move to expand its film sector from a dormant state.

The actor has not yet made any public comments regarding his decision to change religion.
