‘Jana Nayagan’ gets A certificate; All set for July 24 release?

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's much-awaited swansong ‘Jana Nayagan’ might hit the silver screens on July 24. The film, which was stuck in the censors, has been given an A certificate clearance by the censor board. Pooja Hegde is the heroine in the film written and directed by H. Vinoth.

Mamitha Baiju plays another important role. Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nasser, Narain, Sunil, Revathi, Reba Monica John and Nizhalkal Ravi are also in the cast. The music is by Anirudh Ravichander. The film, initially planned before the elections in Tamil Nadu, was touted as Vijay’s last movie. Despite the delayed release, the movie is expected to create waves in the political arena as well.
