KOCHI: Actor Mammootty has added Apple’s latest flagship phone, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, to his collection of gadgets, once again putting his well-known interest in technology in the spotlight. The actor received the new iPhone at his residence on Friday, the same day the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max officially went on sale in India. Pre-orders for the new models began on September 12.

A video of Mammootty unboxing the new smartphone has surfaced on social media and is drawing attention among fans. The footage also shows the actor checking out the new device.
Mammootty’s interest in gadgets and new technology has often been noted, and his acquisition of new devices has previously attracted attention on social media. He had earlier made headlines after getting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, with visuals from the occasion also going viral.

The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max became available to customers in India on September 18, following the pre-order period. Apple says the new Pro models feature a 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture, the A20 Pro chip, improved battery performance and the next generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI.
