The 'Odiyan' no one saw coming! Dharma Productions, Rahul Sadasivan and Prithviraj join forces for Mollywood horror

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions left the movie maniacs in a frenzy after announcing their debut in Mollywood, that too collaborating with the A24 guy of Malayalam horror, Rahul Sadasivan.

The movie will have superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role along with Manju Warrier. With the arrival of the biggest production name from Bollywood, it is expected that this Malayalam movie, now titled ‘Odiyan: The Age of Illusion’, will be among the finest works in production quality to come out of Malayalam in recent times.

Supriya Menon will also be a producer for the movie under Prithviraj Productions.

In an interesting trivia, Manju Warrier was also part of the movie Odiyan starring Mohanlal, which was released in 2018 amid much fanfare. The new movie, under Dharma production, is expected to be in Rahul's fiefdom of horror genre, which will delves deep into the untapped folklore culture and the legends surrounding the mythical shapeshifters who existed in the Valluvanad region.

Sadasivan will be penning the script, while the other technical members of the movie have not yet been revealed.
