Auto drivers perform stunts, indulge in drag race on road; six persons arrested

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police have arrested six persons for indulging in a drag race of autorickshaws. The incident took place on a busy road in Hyderabad. The videos of the race and the auto drivers performing stunts on the road had gone viral on social media.

Following this, the police registered a case and arrested six drivers. During questioning, the accused admitted to police that this was not the first time they had indulged in such a race. A case was registered against the accused for driving in a manner that endangered the lives of people and violating traffic rules, the police said.
