Arrested, marital issues and last conversation; Twist in Bengaluru businessman's death?

BENGALURU: More details have emerged in the death of a businessman, Vaishak Upadhyaya, at the apartment of popular actress Krishi Thapanda in Hosakerehalli.

Vaishak was found hanging inside a room in the apartment rented by the actress. He has been staying at this place for the past week. Both Krishi and Vaishak were friends. Vaishak ran an automobile shop near the Veerabhadra Nagar signal on Outer Ring.

Vaishak was living separately from his family owing to marital issues. He was married to Meghana for 15 years and has a teenage son. It is reported that on the day of the incident, Vaishak sent Krishi text messages saying he was done with his life. The actress tried to console him and promised that they would visit Kukke Subrahmanya Temple to put behind the concerning thoughts circling Vaishak’s mind.

However, when the actress returned to her apartment, she found Viashak hanging. She alerted the Rajarajeshwarinagar police, and they reached the spot.

Meanwhile, Meghana has sought a fresh probe into the incident to get more clarity regarding the death. It is reported that she has filed a complaint with the police. The family members doubt the role of any external factors that might have pushed the youngster to death.

The officials have not arrived at any conclusions but have ruled out criminal involvement in the death. Actress Krishi still comes under heavy criticism and public scrutiny over the turn of events.

According to police, Vaishak was previously arrested for threatening businessman Aravind Reddy. His marital life was also dormant, with him making no contact with his wife for the past month.
