KOZHIKODE: The passengers staged a protest at Karipur International Airport over delay of a flight. The Salam Air flight to Muscat was delayed by more than seven hours. The airline explained that the delay was due to a technical issue.

A total of 144 passengers scheduled to travel to Muscat remains at Karipur Airport. The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 4:10 am on Friday. Even after several hours of delay, the airline had not arranged food or other basic facilities for the passengers. Only after the passengers protested did the airline agree to provide light refreshments. Many of those stranded at the airport urgently needed to reach Muscat. According to reports, the flight will depart as soon as the technical problem is resolved.
