KOZHIKODE: In the wake of the ongoing heavy rains, the district collectors declared a holiday for educational institutions in two Kerala districts tomorrow. In the context of the Indian Meteorological Department's orange alert, the district collector announced that a holiday has been declared for all educational institutions, including schools, madrasas, tuition centres, and professional colleges in Kozhikode district tomorrow to avoid accidents and disasters. Waterlogging has also been reported in certain parts of the city.
Meanwhile, university and PSC exams will continue as scheduled. This holiday also applies to Anganwadis in the district.
The District Collector announced that a holiday has been declared tomorrow for all educational institutions in Wayanad, including Anganwadis, religious studies classes, tuition centres, special classes, and professional colleges, after IMD declared red alert in the district. However, the holiday will not apply to residential schools and residential colleges.
