Question Paper Leak; teachers and officials under suspicion

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM\KOZHIKODE: While a high-level meeting is scheduled to be held today on the issue of the question paper leak, the General Education Department has intensified the investigation into the role of teachers and officials in the matter. The investigation is focused on teachers taking private tuition and education department officials associated with YouTube tuition channels.

Officials had also failed to take action when they received complaints about question paper leaks. Question paper leak repeated because the matter was approached with a light mind that it is not the public examination. Several complaints were raised against the alleged YouTube channel based at Koduvalli. When a complaint was raised during the 2023 Christmas examination, Kozhikode Deputy Director of Education Manoj Kumar submitted a report to the Director of General Education seeking a police investigation against the channel owner. On September 16, Thamarassery DEO gave a report along with pictures of the questions of the Onam exam appearing on the YouTube channel. Manoj Kumar said that despite two previous reports, no investigation or action has been taken. Education Department has discovered that the question papers of the three quarterly examinations were being leaked from the online YouTube channel based in Koduvalli. A special branch led by rural DPC P Nidhin Raj has started a preliminary investigation into the incident.

Obscene reference; complaint filed

Koduvalli Mandal Committee under the leadership of AIYF District President Binoop filed a complaint with the police, demanding that the accused Koduvalli MS Solution YouTube channel contains obscene remarks in the classes and demanded that the content be checked. Links to videos containing obscene remarks have been handed over. Obscene remarks and double-meaning statements were used in classes to gain followers. This footage has been uploaded on fan pages on Instagram.
