Thiruvananthapuram clash: SFI calls for statewide educational strike on Thursday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has called for a statewide educational strike on Thursday in protest against the assault on students after police entered the University Hostel at Palayam in Thiruvananthapuram. The SFI will also organise marches to the offices of all district police chiefs across the state on Thursday in protest against the actions of the police, KSU and Youth Congress workers.

The organisation has also called for a major protest at 5 pm on Thursday against the police assault. Meanwhile, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) will hold a protest march on Mavoor Road in Kozhikode over the incidents in Thiruvananthapuram.
