Another shake-up at IAS leadership: N Prasanth given independent charge

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF government went for a third IAS reshuffle within two months of coming to power.

Senior IAS officer Puneet Kumar, who is the Resident Commissioner of Delhi, was given the charge of inter-state water disputes. N Prasanth has been given the independent charge of the Youth Welfare Department. Prasanth was the Special Secretary of the Youth Welfare Department under the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Minhaj Alam.

Dr Sharmila Mary Joseph, Principal Secretary of the Health Department, was given the charge of AYUSH. In addition to the Water Resources Department, Special Secretary S Suhas has also been given the charge of MD of KIIDC.

K. Inbasekhar, MD of the Water Authority, has been transferred. Inbasekhar will be the new Director of the Cultural Department and Registrar of Cooperatives. S Premkrishna, who was Registrar of Cooperatives, is the new MD of the Water Authority. V. Sriram, Director of the Agriculture Department, has also been given the charge of MD of KASE. Sufian Ahmed, who was MD of KASE, has been transferred to the Urban Affairs Department. He has also been given the charge of CEO of the Smart City Project.

Alex Varghese, Commissioner of the Housing Department, has also been given the charge of Director of the Coastal Management Department. D. Dharmalashri has been made Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Department from the post of Director of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Department. She will also be in charge of solid waste management. Suraj Shaji, who was the Chief Secretary's staff officer, has been transferred to the post of Director of Urban Mission. Food and Civil Supplies Commissioner K. Hima has been given the additional charge of Director of the Scheduled Castes Department. Panchayat Director Apoorva Tripathi has been given the additional charge of Project Director of the Information Kerala Mission.
