THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The investigation report regarding the disruption of the Thrissur Pooram was handed over to the State Police Chief. The report was submitted by the head of the Crime Branch. This action follows media reports highlighting the delay in submitting the findings, even eight months after the incident. The charge sheet was prepared in compliance with the legal requirements necessary for obtaining government sanction; consequently, the Director General of Police (DGP) will submit the report to the government tomorrow for further action. The investigation into the case was conducted pursuant to a special order issued by the State Government.

Eight individuals, including office-bearers of the Thiruvambady Devaswom, are named as accused in the case. The charges include attempting to incite a riot, calling for insurrection against the government, and fostering animosity between two groups. The investigation team concluded that key office-bearers of the Thiruvambady Devaswom were behind the sabotage attempt of the Thrissur Pooram. These individuals maintain close ties with major political parties, namely the Congress, the CPI(M), and the BJP.
