PATHANAMTHITTA: CPM Pathanamthitta district secretary Raju Abraham has strongly criticized the lack of coordination at the government level in dealing with the rain disaster. He demanded that the Ranni floods were government-sponsored and that they should take responsibility for the losses suffered by traders and provide compensation.

He criticized that the dam was opened without any warning and that is the reason for the present situation. He added that it was the DYFI that carried out the rescue operations when the floods occurred. He also accused the UDF government of not having made any announcements regarding compensation.

Raju Abraham criticized that the government has not even made arrangements to prepare food for families who do not go to the camps. The DYFI and CPM workers have been saving people from death by carrying out rescue operations in all areas. He added that the DYFI is distributing food from its limitations in areas where there is no food.
