BHOPAL: The Collectorate office in Khandwa witnessed unusual scenes on Wednesday. The internet was never short of content, but the Collectorate office in Khandwa offered its bit to entertain the masses on a rather sombre Wednesday.

Khandwa Municipal Corporation Leader of Opposition Deepak “Mullu” Rathore wanted to discuss the rising cases of street dog menace in the city. In the weekly public hearing (Jan Sunwai), Mullu arrived to raise his concern with a man wearing a dog mask.

While Mullu questioned the authorities over the ineffectiveness of the sterilisation process and dogs continuing to give birth, the man in the dog mask sitting nearby nodded in acknowledgement. Rathore said the menace was turning worse in the city, with 150 cases of dog bites reported in the recent past.

Rathore demanded a permanent solution for the dog menace rather than the corporation spending lakhs for no real purpose.

Though the focus was on the dog menace in Khandwa, the internet celebrated the video, calling India a country never short of content. Even foreign media outlets and celebrities shared the video in sheer amazement at the novel ways Indians use to address concerns. There are flooding comments on the video on social media.
