MUMBAI: Porsche India has launched the all-electric Cayenne in India, introducing two variants of the luxury SUV with up to 1,156 PS, a claimed WLTP range of 642 km and high-speed DC charging capability. The Cayenne Electric was launched in Mumbai on September 30 and is priced at Rs 1,77,27,000, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric costs Rs 2,27,51,000 (ex-showroom).

Both variants feature a 113 kWh battery, dual electric motors and all-wheel drive. The standard Cayenne Electric produces 408 PS, with output rising to 442 PS with Launch Control. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with Launch Control and has a top speed of 230 km/h.

The Cayenne Turbo Electric produces up to 1,156 PS with Launch Control. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds with Launch Control and has a top speed of 260 km/h.

Range and charging

The Cayenne Electric offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 642 km, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric has a claimed range of up to 623 km. Both variants use an 800-volt electrical architecture and support DC fast charging at up to 390 kW under optimal conditions. Porsche says the battery can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in less than 16 minutes when the required charging conditions are met.

The electric SUV also features a technology-focused cabin and practical storage options. Interior highlights include a curved OLED central display, a digital instrument cluster, an optional passenger display and a front luggage compartment in addition to the rear luggage area.

The launch expands Porsche's electric portfolio while retaining the Cayenne's focus on performance and everyday usability. Petrol-powered Cayenne models will continue to be offered alongside the new electric variants.

Ashutosh Dixit, head of Porsche India, said the Cayenne's shift to electrification marks a significant new chapter for the model, combining Porsche's performance characteristics with electric mobility while retaining its distinctive identity.
