Mouni Roy and her husband Suraj Nambiar recently announced their separation after three years of marriage, and it was all news. Now, Suraj came forward responding to the issue and what led to the marriage falling apart. He revealed that the decision to separate was taken jointly by both of them. Suraj asked that their friends and acquaintances not be included in stories woven by online portals.

Bollywood media gossiped that it was Disha Patani's influence that led to the marriage falling apart. Many media portals wrote that Suraj decided to walk out of the marriage after learning that both Disha and Mouni came out as queer. It was also rumoured that Suraj asked for a divorce after discovering this relationship. There were also reports that Mouni had demanded an alimony of about Rs 100 crore. Following this, Suraj came out with a response.

"The recent baseless reports about our separation are being spread with very bad intentions. Let me set the facts straight. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There are no third parties involved. Mouni and I have decided to separate together with mutual respect. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fabricated. It is a deliberate attempt to malign two individuals. All we ask is privacy. The media is trying to fabricate stories that do not exist. These reports have been published without any verification. I request that both of us be given space to move forward peacefully," Suraj wrote.
