MUMBAI: Just weeks after their fairy-tale wedding in Udaipur, the internet’s favorite power couple, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda, are back in the headlines. This time, however, it wasn’t just about their honeymoon glow—it was a cryptic social media post that had fans convinced a "ViRosh" baby was on the way.

Post that broke the internet

On the heels of their high-profile nuptials on February 26, 2026, Rashmika took to Instagram to share a heart-warming update. The caption simply read: ‘Now it's us three’.

Within minutes, the comments section exploded. "Is it a baby announcement already?" one fan asked, while thousands of others began trending the hashtag #VireshBaby, a portmanteau of the couple's names. The speculation reached a fever pitch as fans interpreted the post as a pregnancy reveal following their romantic getaway.

Fact check: Not a baby, but a "Roo"

Before the rumors could spiral further, the truth behind the "third person" emerged. It turns out the "National Crush" isn’t expanding her family just yet—she’s expanding her creative universe.

The post was a clever teaser for her latest digital venture, an animated series titled "Rashmika and Roo," produced in collaboration with the popular storytelling platform Terribly Tiny Tales (TTT).

"Roo is an animated character inspired by Rashmika’s own bubbly personality and her journey with mental health and positivity," a source close to the project revealed.

When Vijay Deverakonda made a guest appearance alongside his wife and her animated avatar, Rashmika playfully noted that they had become a trio.

Busy year for the newly weds

While there’s no biological "third member" joining the household just yet, the couple has their hands full:

  • Rashmika & Roo: The series aims to use animation to discuss kindness and mindfulness, targeting a younger demographic.
  • On-Screen Projects: Both stars have a packed slate of pan-Indian films scheduled for release later this year.
  • The Wedding Hangover: The couple is still basking in the success of their private February wedding, which remains one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the decade.

Fans may have to wait a bit longer for a "ViRosh" junior, but for now, the chemistry between the two stars—and their animated companion Roo—is more than enough to keep the audience enchanted.
