Newborn baby's body found abandoned at Medical College Hospital premises

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The body of a newborn baby was found abandoned on the premises of the Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident occurred on Thursday morning at a parking ground near the multi-speciality block of the hospital.

Security personnel first noticed the body lying abandoned at the spot. They immediately informed the police. Following this, the police shifted the body to the hospital mortuary. According to officials, the body is believed to be of a premature baby. The police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to identify those responsible.
