Rahul Gandhi to reach Kharge's residence; Tables turn in Kerala CM race

NEW DELHI: Discussions are in the final lap to select the new Chief Minister of Kerala. Rahul Gandhi will also attend the meeting to be held at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. From Kerala, VD Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, Sunny Joseph and KC Venugopal are also participating in the discussion.

Kerala is waiting to see who the high command will pick through the consensus talks. The likely CM face will be the leader with the most support from the MLAs. If that is the case, the possibility will be for KC Venugopal. 43 MLAs supported KC Venugopal during discussions with the AICC observers. There are indications that the high command has presently decided not to give consideration to the Muslim League's stance. The high command will consider the public support for VD Satheesan as disciplinary action.
