THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings in six districts of Kerala as heavy rain continues across the state. A yellow alert has been declared in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts. The forecast says there is a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall.

The National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has informed that there is a possibility of sea incursion along the Kerala coast tonight until 11:30 PM due to high waves ranging from 0.8 to 1.6 meters. This is part of the 'Kallakkadal' phenomenon (swell surge). The warning states that fishermen and coastal residents should remain vigilant due to the possibility of sea incursion.
