Class 8 student attempts suicide by slitting wrist and jumping from a building 

KILIMANOOR: A class 8 student attempted suicide by slitting her wrist and jumping from the building at the pre-metric hostel at Ayyappankav Nagar in Kilimanoor. The girl, a native of Karakulam, is a class 8 student at Kilimanoor RRV Girls High School. She jumped from the first floor of the hostel building yesterday evening. The girl was immediately admitted to the Medical College Hospital by the hostel warden and the staff. Doctors said the child is out of danger. The Kilimanoor police said that the suicide attempt of the child, who behaved happily with the teachers after leaving the school, is mysterious and will be investigated.
