KOTTAYAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan has lashed out at the state government for transferring a woman conductor who protested against the delay in salary distribution by wearing a badge. In his Facebook post, Muraleedharan also extended support to the woman conductor for her protest.

'Akhila S Nair staged the protest by working and not by holding a strike. The Communist party, which is known for tormenting the people by holding nationwide strikes even for silly issues, should learn from her protest,' Muraleedharan wrote on his Facebook page.

'The news regarding a woman getting transferred for protesting against the delay in salary distribution shows that "everything is alright" in the state under the Pinarayi government. Pinarayi model communism transfers workers for demanding their wages. This very same CPM also threatens agricultural workers in Kuttanad to participate in the Jatha led by the party secretary,' Muraleedharan wrote.
