SHO suspended for misbehaving with woman who came to release son on bail

KANNUR: A SHO was suspended for misbehaving with a woman, who reached the police station, to release her son in police custody, on bail. The officer under suspension is Smithesh, SHO of Dharmadom police station. One Anil Kumar lodged the complaint against him. Anil Kumar was taken into custody based on the complaint of hitting a vehicle. Following that, his mother came to the station to release him out on bail. The visuals of Smithesh misbehaving with Anil Kumar’s mother had surfaced.

The incident happened on Saturday night. Soon after Anil Kumar was taken into custody and brought to the station, his mother and brother came to the station to bail him out. Anil Kumar in the complaint mentioned that Smithesh, who was in Mufti, misbehaved with his mother. The complaint lodged to Thalassery ASP, asserted that he pushed his mother down.

The visuals show Smithesh screaming at her asking her to get out of the station. Other policemen are trying to pacify the SHO. In the meanwhile, can hear him saying that his mother is a heart patient. It is heard that the commissioner intervened in the incident.
