KOZHIKODE: Government offices in the state will remain closed for the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Saturday. The moon sightings were not observed which tended the Qazis in Kerala to shift the date of the significant festival to Saturday. Earlier, the state holiday was issued for Friday but the sudden change in dates has forced the authorities to continue the same with Saturday.
The event marks the end of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast and reflect on spiritual matters. Eid-ul-Fitr is a jubilant occasion, celebrated with excitement and devotion by individuals of all ages.
