Soorya Krishnamurthy wins Vishwakalaratna award; promises prize money to noble initiatives

THIRUVANANATHAPURAM: Bahrain Kerala Samajam’s first Vishwakalaratna award was named for auteur Soorya Krishnamurthy. The award consists of Rs 5 lakh cash prize along with a plaque. The award ceremony will take place on May 5th in Bahrain followed by cultural events. The attendance will have union minister V Muraleedharan along with Bahrain cultural chief Mohammed Bin Khalifa.

The award was decided on Mr. Krishnamoorthy as a reward for his palatable 50 years and more dedicated to drama and arts. Soorya Krishnamoorthy informed about giving the whole money to initiatives that help build homes for the financially downtrodden in society.
