13-year-old boy dies of diarrhoea, three children under treatment, food-poisoning suspected

THRISSUR: A 13-year-old boy died of diarrhoea in the district. The dead is Hamadan, son of Anaz of Kottarathu Veettil in Thrissur. His family said that he died of food poisoning. The boy had recently returned from a pleasure trip in Wagamon.

The boy had eaten food including biriyani during his trip. As the boy and his three friends fell ill soon after returning, they were admitted in a private hospital in Thrissur. The boys had diarrhoea, fever and were vomiting also. Hamadan died while undergoing treatment. The body has been shifted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.
