GENEVA: The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that Covid is no longer a global health emergency. The decision was made in the context of a low number of covid cases. But WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said vigilance against the virus must continue. So far, about 70 lakh people have died due to covid and more than 765 million people have been affected by it. WHO has declared a Covid emergency on January 30, 2020. The first case of Covid was detected in the city of Wuhan in China in December 2019.
