Why we parted ways: Rajasenan speaks about Jayaram

Jayaram-Rajasenan combo is something Malayalam cinema lovers can never forget. Came out of their bonhomie, wonderful films like Meleparambil Aan veedu, CID Unnikishnan, Kadinjool Kalyanam, Aniyanbhava Chettan Bhava and Adyathe Kanmani, all of which have a special place in the minds of the cinema-goers.

The Malayalam cinema saw the rise of a new superstar through Jayaram in all these films. But soon people saw Jayaram straining his relationship with Rajasenan. In an interview to Kaumudy TV, Rajasenan opens up on Jayaram.

“Sometime in the past, there were some mental differences between us.., there were some issues. Certain forces started scheming to separate us. The whole problem was for Jayaram and for me, there was no issue.

Jayaram had some misunderstanding. Actually, he had acted in all my 16 films just after listening to the stories I told him over the phone. Now it is not like that, Jayaram has also started making unnecessary interference like the ones made by certain actors.

Just watch Jayaram and you will understand what a star will become if he reaches my hands. In his most bad times, I have done Kadinjool Kalyanam with him in the lead. It was the time when people booed off Jayaram… when he had no films… and all in the cinema industry were his foes. It was this person I had installed in the film industry through my 16 films,” Rajasenan recalls.
