Gold hunt at Nedumbassery airport; Zubair and his wife tried to smuggle gold in pill form

KOCHI: Couple caught with over one kilogram of gold at Nedumbassery airport. The arrested people are reported to be Sri Lankan nationals. 1.2 kilograms of gold was recovered from them.

They brought gold from Colombo by putting it in capsule form and hiding it in their body. Gold worth Rs 60 lakh was seized. The gold was brought by the couple Muhammad Zubair and Muhammad Janufar.
