Middle-aged man ends life after killing disabled sister in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A 57-year-old man ended his life after killing his disabled sister at Chittissery in Thrissur. The murder is suspected to have been motivated by the difficulty of caring his sister.

Indira, who had mental issues, was looked after by Appu and his family for years. Appu has a wife and three children, and Indira lived with them in the same house. He killed her by slitting her wrist. Police also found signs of smothering her with a pillow. Appu was found hanging in a room near the room where Indira’s body was found. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.
