Chennai Super Kings end KKR's unbeaten streak

CHENNAI: Chennai Super Kings on Monday put a halt to the winning streak of Kolkata Knight riders in the 17th season of the IPL. The home side won by 7 wickets in the match held at Chepauk, Chennai.

The Kolkata batting faltered in front of the Chennai bowlers, as they managed to score only 137 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Chennai who went for chase, surpassed the score in a canter. Captain Ruturaj Dasharath Gaikwad scored 67 runs as Chennai reached the target by losing 3 wickets with 14 balls to spare (141/3).

Chennai only lost the wickets of impact player Shivam Dubey (25 off 18 balls), Darryl Mitchell (25) and Rachin Ravindra (15). Vaibhav Arora took 2 wickets for KKR. Earlier Tushar Deshpande and Jadeja took three wickets each to restrict KKR’s run flow. Jadeja was declared the man of the match as he conceded just 18 runs in four overs.
