"He asked for beard trim...": Barber shop sees surge in number of customers after political leader's visit

RAE BARELI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit to a barber shop in Rae Bareli constituency for a haircut and a beard trim has turned up the business there.Mithun Kumar, who runs New Mumba Devi hair-cutting salon, said he was surprised by the Congress leader's visit.

"I had not even imagined that such a big leader will come to my shop," Mithun Kumar said

Aman Kumar, a staff who works in the shop, said that the number of customers have gone up since Rahul Gandhi's casual visit. "The number of customers has gone up. If 10 people came earlier, now we get 15. We are getting lots of calls since that day." he said.

To a question whether Rahul spoke about elections, Aman Kumar said that he did not talk about politics or elections and told them to vote for the party of their choice.

Videos of Rahul Gandhi's visit to the barber shop had gone viral on the internet. In the video, he can be seen asking the shop owner about his work and hairstyles displayed in the shop. He also clicked a photo with Mithun Kumar and his staff and handed them 'guarantee cards' after the grooming session.
