'Guruvayoorambala Nadayil', directed by Vipin Das with Prithviraj and Basil Joseph in the lead roles, hit the theatres last Thursday. The movie has opened to good reviews from moviegoers who generally calls it a fun-filled family entertainer. Vipin Das' last outing 'Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya He', was also a super hit.
Produced by Supriya Menon under the banner of Prithviraj Productions, Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathy under the banner of E4Entertainment, the film also stars Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, Yogi Babu, Jagadish, Rekha, Irshad, Siju Sunny, Safwan, Kunhikrishnan Master and Manoj KU.
Meanwhile, a video shared by the film's director Vipin Das is now going viral on social media. As the name 'Guruvayoorambala Nadayil' suggests, some major portion of the story takes place in the Guruvayur temple. But as permission was not given for shooting in Guruvayur, the filming was done after recreating the temple on a movie set. Sunil Kumaran, the film's art director, had said that about that this alone cost Rs 3 crores. The movie's director has shared an interesting video of a woman praying in front of this set, thinking of it as a temple.
Like the woman in the video, many netizens were amazed to know that temple premises were recreated for shooting. 'If this set had not been dismantled, those taking Instagram reels could have used it instead of going to the temple," a user commented.
Cinematography is done by Neeraj Ravi. 'Guruvayoorambala Nadayil' is written by Deepu Pradeep after 'Kunjiramayanam'.
