KOZHIKODE: With rains continuing unabated and causing serious damages, the authorities declared a holiday for educational institutions in two districts. Kozhikode (red alert) and Wayanad (orange alert) will shut down educational institutions on Wednesday minding the intensifying rainfall.
District collector Snehil Kumar Singh announced a holiday for all the educational institutions including professional colleges in Kozhikode district, considering the red alert and the record rainfall in Kakkayam. The Collector also clarified that there will be no change in pre-scheduled exams.
Wayanad also saw rain havoc with trees uprooted and waterlogging in many areas.
