DUBAI: A fire broke out at Terminal 2 of the Dubai International Airport on Saturday night. Following this, check-in procedures were temporarily suspended.
However, the airport authorities have reported that a minor fire had broken out and it has been brought under control. The authority, in a statement, said it was "immediately brought under control by the airport fire services".
"We regret the inconvenience and are currently working with service partners to resolve the situation," it added.
There are no reports of any casualties or injuries.
The fire brigade arrived at the airport and extinguished the fire. After a delay of about 40 minutes, check-in procedures resumed, according to the authorities.
