KOCHI: The complainant said the police was first reluctant to register a case against actor Nivin Pauly. She said that when she first lodged the complaint at the local station here, they asked me file the case in Dubai as the incident happened there.
She told media that her statement was not recorded first. When a case was filed again after the release of the Hema Committee report, there was a good approach from them. She said that she expects to get justice.
'I don't have a group behind me, I'm alone. I am sure to get justice. So far, the special investigation team has not contacted me. Will fight till justice is obtained,' she said.
Meantime, actor Nivin Pauly will approach the Kerala High Court seeking to quash the sexual assault case against him. The actor claimed that the allegations against him are baseless.
Nivin Pauly said yesterday that he had neither met the woman, who had raised the sexual allegations against him, nor has he called her or send her a WhatsApp message. It is a deliberate attempt to defame him. He suspects a conspiracy behind it. The complaint is 100 percent baseless. As the FIR has been filed, let the law take its course. Will go to any extent to prove the truth. Nivin had also said that he would fully cooperate with the investigation.
A case has been registered against six people, including Nivin Pauly, on the complaint of the woman that she was brought to Dubai and abused promising roles in films. A non-bailable charge has been filed against the sixth accused, Nivin Pauly. The complainant is a native of Neriamangalam in Ernakulam.
